"Love does not measure; it just gives."
~St. Teresa of Calcutta

The Samaritan House Thrift Store, Emergency Food and Clothing Bank provides over 900 people annually with emergency food and clothing assistance. What we do not give away of the clothing and household items donated to us, we sell very inexpensively in order to give people with small means the chance to shop and provide for themselves. Excess clothing donations are sent to World Mission Clothing or to other area nonprofits to assist those in need.

We also seek to provide spiritual food for our brothers and sisters and strive to facilitate each person’s encounter with Christ. With this in mind, we meet weekly for a time of praise and worship, offering intentions. We offer daily Bible Studies and Faith class and pray the Rosary. Every day we pray Divine Mercy Prayers at 3:00 PM. The sisters are also available for informal prayer with those who come into the store, and desire above all that our volunteers and customers feel unconditional love and that they know they can always come to us in whatever need without being condemned or judged. As in the parable of the Good Samaritan, we seek to treat all with mercy as Jesus has told us to do. (Luke 10:37)
